Christmas
We had a wonderful Christmas season! We are truly blessed! Troye had to work Christmas Eve so the boys and I went to church while he worked. After we all arrived home we had our annual tradition of opening up our one gift, which the boys know is always pjs! They love Duck Dynasty so DD pjs were the perfect fit! Troye read the Christmas story and bedtime it was! Camaron woke up at 4 and tried to look at presents! We shooed him back to bed and made them wait until 6!! They finally dragged us out of bed and present time had arrived! The boys were so excited to give us our gifts that they wanted us to go first! How sweet!! They finally had their turn and both of them got new Erector sets! They were super excited! Then the big gift arrived..... A ZipLine!! Wahoo!!! Troye spent the rest of the day installing it! By that night we were zipping across the creek!! So much fun! What a wonderful Christmas!!

Christmas at Grammy's and Grumpy's
We went to Grammy's and Grumpy's to celebrate Christmas. It was just us since Uncle Mark and Aunt Amber and Tyler moved to Iowa. We had a great time. It was wet and cold! We all enjoyed good food and exchanging gifts. The boys were loaded down with gifts!

Goats!
A friend of mine was moving out of state and had 3 goats. She knew we wanted some and offered to give them to us! Well we couldn't turn that down! Of course we don't have room so we quickly built a hut and fence for them! They are adorable! We have 2 pygmy/dwarf mixes and 1 nubian goat. There are 2 females and 1 male. We hope to breed them and have baby goats (kids) and use the milk for soap and cheeses! How exciting!

Thanksgiving
We stayed at our house this year. The boys and I have been gone so much the last couple of months that we decided to just stay at home plus Troye has to work the weekend. Any trips would have been rushed. I planned on cooking a small meal and we were going to go volunteer at a local shelter. Colt woke up sick so our volunteer plans were canceled. Fortunately he didn't stay sick for long and we enjoyed a very lazy day of family time!!

Grumpy's hospital visit
Grumpy came to visit Camaron for his birthday but the very next day Grumpy went to the hospital. He had been sick for a long time and it just got to be too much. They admitted him and he stayed for a few days. Long story.... but basically he ended up in the hospital for over 30 days and had 4 surgeries and 8 days in icu! It was a very scary time for all of us but I am so happy to say that he is doing so much better. The doctors were not sure he would even make it out of surgery but he is a fighter and has so much more to do so he didn't give up! The boys and I were able to go and stay most of the time. It was good to be able to be there to do whatever we could to help. We give all the praise to God! Thank you to everyone who prayed for the family!

Fall Festival
We have been at Grammy and Grumpy's for almost a month now. With the busy time there was not time to make costumes as we usually do. We love to dress up in period clothing from the time period we are studying. It just so happens we found the perfect costumes at Walmart! We made helmets to go with them and they were perfect! Colt went hunting with Troye so I was ale to take Camaron to a few fall festivals in Lorena. He had a blast. We drove home on Halloween day so that we could attend the fall festival at our new church and with Troye. The boys had a great time and it was a fun event!

Camaron's Birthday with Grammy and Grumpy
Grammy and grumpy drove down to help celebrate Cam's birthday! They brought the boat because Cam has been asking to go for a ride and go fishing! Unfortunately it rained the WHOLE day! So there was no boating this time! But we still celebrated with camo cupcakes that Grammy made! Cam loved all of his presents too! Lots of Duck Dynasty stuff and a stuffed horse!
Thanks Grammy and Grumpy for making it a fun day despite the crazy rain!

Homeschool Weeks 2-3
PWe have completed 3 weeks of school!! So far we are really loving it but still trying to get into a good routine. We started co-op last week. The boys were so excited to start. They are both taking two classes. Camaron has a couple of kids in his class from our new church. Colt is meeting new kids and really likes his teachers. I think it will be a great year!

Homeschool Week 1 - My Father's World
We started school this week! The boys were so excited to finally be starting! Camaron is using My Father's World First Grade curriculum. He already completed the Kindergarten curriculum last year and even though he is suppose to be in kindergarten we are going to do this first grade curriculum and slow down when needed. Colt is also using My Father's World. He will be using the Rome to Reformation curriculum. He also has several other subjects that we add. He will continue with Singapore Math and we are going to take a writing class at co-op. We will also all do an science class at co-op. It is Apologia's Swimming Creatures. The boys are beyond excited to start our new adventure at co-op next week. This week we discussed and read about the founding of Rome. We started talking about the Punic wars and Augustus. It amazes me how much the boys love to hear about history.
