Colt goes to Bible camp

Colt went with a friend to church camp!  He had a blast!  He was gone for a whole week but I don't think he even missed us, but we sure did miss him! 

Mommy's hospital stay

I woke up on December 4th with a sore knee.  By the next day it was super swollen and so sore I couldn't walk!  I went to the dr, who immediately sent me to an orthopedic dr.  Once there the ortho dr told me I was going to the hospital and possibly to surgery!!  I ended up staying in the hospital for 5 days with septic arthritis or reactive arthritis! It was a crazy experience!  Mary is nursing exclusively so she had to stay with me and we had to ensure that the medicines were not harmful for her.  Troye also stayed to help with Mary since I still couldn't walk!  The boys went to cousins and friends houses.  We are so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends! So many people helped out and did whatever they could to make things easier for us!  

Lunch with friends

Cam and I had lunch with some great friends from FBA! It was so much fun to see the ladies and catch up!  We had lots missing but hopefully they can make the next one!  Cam got to see his good friend Casey!  They started school together at age 4 months!! And share the exact same birthday!  Even though they don't get to see each other often they remain great friends!! 

Camp Time!

Colt was able to go to church camp this year with our great friends the Haigoods! The camp is actually just down the road from us, but it is an overnight camp.  This was his first experience going away for the night to a camp.  I knew he would have fun and he did!  They were awesome at taking pictures and sending them so we could see how they were doing!  While he was gone our friends the Haigood's have two younger kids so they came and stayed with us!  It was so much fun and made it much easier for Cam to have some company!  I also loved have my friend, Jill hang out!

Colt turns 11

We have had a busy schedule so for Colt's birthday we invited a couple of other homeschool boys over to spend the night!  They played with the animals, built forts, slept in the tent and played video games!  It was a great time!! Colt requested Upside down pineapple cake for his birthday.  We got him metal detector so he can explore the land and find treasures!!  Happy Birthday Colt!!!

T-ball Time

Camaron is playing tball this year! This is his first time to play any sport and he is so excited! He has had several practices and a couple of games so far and LOVES it! He takes the game very serious and tries his hardest everytime. He is on the MudCats team with several other friends from church. So far it has been a great experience and I know he is hooked on playing sports now! I can't wait to see him play more as he grows!

New Years! 2014!!

We had a great New Years Eve and Day! Our great friends Jill and Alan Haigood came over with their four boys.  All of the kids ran around the property all day long! We had lots of food and games and fun!! Great Time!!!

Waco Trip

We spent last weekend in Waco. We attended West High graduation to watch our nephew, Jake graduate. I can't believe he is so grown up!
We also were able to see some great friends, Mel and JP Eaker. It is always great to see them and catch up.
On Saturday, my uncle Eddie and aunt Noni and cousin Brittne drove down to Lorena. We have not seen them in a couple of years so it was a great visit.
On Sunday, Uncle Jesse and Aunt Vickie drove down. Again it was a great visit! Uncle Jesse brought some rabbit cages for Colt to start his rabbit business. So exciting! Grumpy is building a new chicken coop so we helped out a little with that, the boys enjoyed painting it!
It was a very busy weekend but a great one too!

Awesome visit from friends!

We have some great friends that came to visit us this past week! They are starting out on a new journey to rv around the US! We are so excited for them! The Haigood family arrived on Friday afternoon and even though we have only seen them twice in the last two years, it was as if we had never been apart! The boys (did I mention they have four boys) were best of friends as always! They immediately started playing and having fun! We enjoyed showing them the land and letting the boys be boys! We also enjoyed touring their rv and hearing more of their planned adventures!
On New Year's Eve, we had a huge party! The Haigood's were here and the Inman family joined us too! All in all we had 11 kids and 6 adults! It was a FANTASTIC night! We ate, laughed, played games and ate some more!
The Haigood's were suppose to leave on Tuesday but we were lucky enough to have it rain and we didn't want them to get stuck so they stayed one more night!! Yea! But on Wednesday they headed out! It was time for them to start the journey to Florida! Can't wait for them to come back next year!!
