I posted about my Pinterest addiction awhile ago. I honestly think Troye is ready to shut Pinterest down! I keep thinking of new projects! Well last week when our shower was very slow to drain I hopped on Pinterest to find a solution! Pinterest is the new Google! I found an all natural solution to clear the drain. Pour some baking soda down the drain then add vinegar and finally follow up with boiling water. I followed all of the directions precisely! It didn't clear the drain but actually made it worse!!! The shower was now completely clogged! Yikes! Since we have a home warranty I called them, I just knew they had done something faulty and that is why it was clogged in the first place! The very nice service man came out and told me it was a simple solution. He started to work and then realized that something was wrong! There was a white disk completely clogging the drain! I had to tell him about my homemade clog removal attempt and we finally determined that the white disk was the baking powder in solid form!! Oops! I was to blame for this! Of course Troye and the service man got a huge kick out of this! Troye said I was banned from Pinterest for good! Several days went by and I needed to make some laundry detergent so I gathered my supplies.... That is when I realized what the real mistake was!
Notice anything?? The boxes are almost identical!! I didn't use baking soda for my clog removal, I used washing soda!! YIKES! So moral of the story, make sure you double check your ingredients!! Ha!! I am back on Pinterest since this was purely my mistake!

Theme nights!
We are trying something new here! Troye and I looked at our calendar and came up with several theme nights for the month. We have some movies nights but we want to make sure that we do other fun things together and having it preplanned seems the most logical way! We have art nights, science nights, movie nights, game nights and baking nights scheduled this month! So far the boys love it. We have been working hard on the land so it is good for the boys to see that after a hard days work we can come inside to a fun activity! So far science and art nights have been a blast! We have painted, microwaved soap and poked skewers through zip lock bags! Here are some pictures, we look forward to more fun nights!
Green house update!
Well we have been working hard to complete the greenhouse! It was 85% complete, just needed the front wall installed when we were able to teach the boys a lesson on air resistance! The greenhouse basically had 3 walls completed with the one wall just framed in when a huge storm rolled in! The greenhouse weathered the rain fine but the following day we had wind gust up to 40 mph! The greenhouse could not withstand that amount of wind when it was not closed in. The wind went I and had no where to go but up! So the main frame was lifted and several poles broke, leaving a mess! It was so frustrating! We were so close! But we used it as a lesson for the boys on both wind and procrastination! We had one day we could have finished it but we decided to wait until the weekend! Ugh! Lesson learned! Anyway we made sense of he mess and went and bought the needed supplies and rebuilt! We still have some work to do but this time it is structurally ok. The first day after it was up it was HOT inside! The plants will like it!
Rabbits!!!
The rabbits are here!!! We picked up five Californian rabbits last week. We had them tattooed and then brought them home. They stayed in the house for a few days while they adjusted to their new home and while we critter proofed their outside home! We had to make some changes to where they were going to live! The greenhouse was too hit and wet! So we decided to put them in our deer stand that is not being used! It is small but the cages for and hey are protected from critters and weather.
The boys love the rabbits! Colt is doing a fantastic job taking care of them! He gets up every morning and immediately does everything needed to care for them. We are slowing separating them to different cages and weighing them daily. They cannot be over 5 lbs on show date but should be as close as possible. We will take the 3 best looking rabbits to show. This is certainly a learning experience for all of us!
