Today we had a stay at home day to help recover from the busy week. We did our laundry that was overflowing! And then we were able to participate in the Campground activities. They were having crafts and such today. They boys painted ceramics, made a sheriff's badge, and a pine cone bird feeder! They loved every bit of it! What made it all even better was the fact that it was a rainy day! Really helped make the day go by without any "I'm bored" sayings! After supper we headed back to the campground play area for smores! Yummy! Then we settled down to watch a movie outside. They had a huge outdoor screen and showed the movie "Spirit". FUN NIGHT!
Follow our family as we move from a typical subdivision house to 20 acres of land!

Day 76 - Rv
Well I guess Colt was feeling under the weather. This morning he said he didn't want to go to camp. His head hurt and he didn't want to get anyone sick. After we discussed it and he ate, he changed his mind and ended up going. I told him to call if he felt bad but I figured he wouldn't! We picked him up and of course he had a great time and got to bring home all of his crafts from the week. We then headed over to our friends house again (trying to see people as much as possible before we move) The boys were tired but they had fun playing. After we left Colt immediately said he didn't feel good (why he didn't say anything there is beyond me!) We went to Troye's work and Colt fell asleep on the way home. He woke up when we go to the rv and went straight to bed! I could tell he had fever. Poor Guy! Cam said he had a tummy ache and went to bed too! Strange things were happening at our house! LOL!

Day 75 - Rv
Today we took Colt to camp and then headed to the land. We had a very important meeting to walk thru the house and do a punch list! SO EXCITING! We were amazed at how much had been done since the weekend! The house is all cleaned up and there were only a handful of items to be fixed and those will be done next week! They were also installing the electrical lines while we there! The water has been delayed again..ugh! But it was permit problems and out of our control! It is suppose to be done on Monday. After it is installed then the septic and air conditioner can be finished! We are VERY close to being done!!! After we finished with the house we picked up Colt and came home to swim and play. Before went swimming we made snake bubbles! So much fun! Swimming was very refreshing after the hot day at the house. Colt was acting strange and didn't want to swim much but rather sit in the hot tub.. we thought it was him just being exhausted but hoped he wasnt sick.

Day 74 - Rv
Day 3 of Colt's day camp. He is not letting the heat keep him from loving it! He was up and ready to go again today! Cam and I just stayed at the Rv while Colt was gone. We did some chores and played. After we picked up Colt we went to a friends house to play. They love playing with their friends and even though Colt has had a busy week it was great for Cam to play with his friends.

Day 73 - Rv
Today is Colt's second day of camp and he was up and ready to go! I am so glad that he wants to go and it is not something I am forcing him to do! Cam was a little better today about taking Colt. I let him play on the playground while we wait for Colt to get on the bus and then again while we are waiting for the bus to arrive back at the church. He really enjoys that. Today after we dropped off Colt I took Camaron to the movies! They have cheap summer movies for just $3 and that includes a drink and popcorn! Great deal! We saw Mr. Popper's Penguins. It was a cute movie and Cam cuddled in my lap the whole time! Such a good time! We then picked up Colt and just had a lazy afternoon! The sun and heat is really draining Colt!

Day 72 - Rv
Well today I took Colt to his first Day Camp! I was a blubbering crying mess last night! LOL! He is going to a church day camp with his cousins. It is just for 5 hours and just down the road. He was so excited! I know he is going to have so much fun and he needs to do this but man it was hard to not go with him! (though I must admit that his Aunt Steph is going so it's not like he won't know anyone there!) Of course this was a very difficult day for Camaron as well. He does not like being left out and he just cried and cried! I went to get some coffee for Troye and Cam wanted some donuts. Donuts apparently solve all problems! After lunch we took Bobber to the Vet. The vet looked him over and thought that he had made great progress from what we told him he was like on Saturday. He wasn't sure it was a heat stroke but wanted to run blood work to see what was going on. So they took the blood and we will know in a few days. We then went and picked up Colt. Colt had a blast! He loved the day and was ready to go back tomorrow! Yea!

Day 71 - Rv
The boys spent the night with Trev and Steph last night. They were exhausted but we thought it would be eaiser so that we could watch Bobber. This morning he is doing slightly better. He has started to slowly walk but still can't sit very well. He has had some water but prefers ice. After lunch we moved his leash and he perked his ears up and then stood up! So Troye carried him outside and then Bobber went for a short walk! This is a huge improvement! We also got him some broth and he drank that up. He is making improvement but we still don't know if there was internal damage from the heat. I went and got the boys after church and we had a lazy afternoon. We needed it after the crazy weekend!

Day 70 - Rv
We woke up early and enjoyed to cool morning air, which quickly turned hot! The boys were excited because Grammy, Grumpy, Grandad and all the cousins were coming over! Colt and I headed to town to get some items and Troye and Cam worked a little. We showed the house off to Grammy, Grumpy and Grandad. Then we went to Trinity to eat at DQ. We were gone about an hour and when we got back Bobber (who was in his kennel) was very sick. He could barely walk. Troye and Grandad took care of him and got him to the creek. He laid there for hours, not able to move. We are very sure he had a heat stroke. Uncle Trev and Aunt Steph came but because of Bobber being sick we didn't get to have fun. Grammy and Grumpy had to head back too. After about 4 hours of Bobber being in the creek, Troye and Trever had to carry him out. We brought him back to the camper and made a bed for him. He never even lifted his head. We will have to get him to a vet but since it is the weekend we will wait until monday. :(

Day 69 - RV
We got up early and loaded up all of our camping supplies (not the rv!) We went to the water company and took care of that business then headed to our property. We were able to look in the house and we all enjoyed being able to just look without anyone there working. The workers were not there at all today. But all the work they did this week looks good. It was super hot so we just sort of hung out and rode the 4 wheeler and such until dusk. Then we got ready to cook supper and realized that part of the grill was missing! Ha! so we went down by the creek and set up the tent and then made a small campfire (it is 100 degrees!) We cooked hotdogs over the fire and then had smores! Cam declared "this is the best day ever"! We have glow sticks for the boys so they put those on then we went riding on the 4 wheeler in the dark. It was so much fun! Just before bed we rinsed off as much dirt as we could then headed to bed in the tent. It was still hot but in the middle of the night it got pretty cool. It was a super fun day!

Day 68 - RV
Today the boys and I went to the Conroe Rec Center to enjoy the water park! Colt brought a friend with him and we met a close friend of Camaron's there. They both had a great time and it was a welcomed distraction from the house situation! After we swam we just came home and relaxed and got ready for our "CAMPING" trip! Yep, we are going camping tomorrow (never mind that we live in an rv!) . We are going to go to the land and camp out there in a tent!

Day 67 - RV
Today the boys and I just stayed around the rv. I needed to make calls and try to figure out the water situation. The lady from the water company did call and gave us two different estimates and said they could do the drilling next week. Ugh! Yet another delay. But we worked out the cost and will have to go there on Friday to get that taken care of, meanwhile they will work on getting permits and such. I also spoke with our contractor and they finished the road and the decks and the bottom of the house. So that is good news!

Day 66 - Rv
Well we decided to go to the land again today. We were told more guys would be working on the decking, plumbing and skirting. So we took our time getting ready then headed out there. I tried to get in touch with the water company but was just told someone would call me! Ugh! I explained to them that our move in date was being delayed if we didn't get this done now, I tired to be nice! When we got to the land NOTHING new had been done! Ha! But there were starting to work on the electrical connections and more rock was delivered. The other crew was cancelled due to the rain forecast. And it did start storming before we left. The good news is that some of the road is done so we can get in and out even if it rains, this will help with preventing delays for the people that can work on the inside!
I have realized that I am becoming very impaitent! I am ready to move in! There are days I feel like the rv walls are closing in on us but I realize that it is just because we are all getting excited to move into the house. It is starting to seem real and like a home now that they are getting it all together. The last 2 months of no house out there just made it seem like a piece of land. But we are close! We are still hoping to be in by July 14th. We were first told that July 1 was our goal, but with the water delay and now the electrical delay that is not happening! The electrical company is not planning on installing the line until late next week. We are not really sure why, I guess just their time frame! It is frustrating that we contacted them 2 months ago but they would not do anything until certain steps were in place and now that those steps are done we have to just wait!
We are not planning on going out there until Friday. Troye has to work the next few days and I have some activities planned for the boys. We are trying to have get togethers with friends before we move.

Day 65 - Rv
We have not heard anything about the house since last week so Troye said we could ride out and see what was going on. When we arrived there was lots of activity going on!! Yea! The culvert had been delivered and rock for the road was being delivered! When we got to the house there was a guy working on the interior. He was sheetrocking and patching and taping and floating! He let us walk thru the whole house - this was the first time we saw some of the rooms! I honestly didn't want to leave! Ha! I kept visualizing where things were going to go! But we needed to let the worker continue working! He is hoping to be done with the inside by the end of next week. Outside the house the guys were working on the road and digging the ditch for the water line. We have not heard from the water company in a week so I called to see when the water meter would be installed. They of course never called back! Ugh! But just before we were leaving a guy stops by and says he is from the water company. He then gives us the bad news.... the water line is across the road (we thought this was the case) and we are responsible for having someone bore under the road and the cost of that! This was news to us and our contractor!!! Both our contractor and I have spoken with them several times and never was this told to us! So yet another delay! We will see what they say tomorrow because the guy thought we knew that and said he would check into things.

Day 64 - Rv
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY! Troye had to work today so the boys and I went to church. They made Troye some gifts at church and at home. We also made him one of his favorite supper dishes, chicken spaghetti and for dessert we made blueberry cobbler. It was delish! We called Grumpy to wish him a good day as well.
Saturday, June 16, 2012
Day 63 - Rv
Today we did nothing! I honestly was just too tired!! LOL! The boys were tired too so we really just were very lazy. We tried to go swimming but we only lasted 10 minutes because there were over 60 people in the pool! Just crazy!

Day 62 - Rv
LAST day of VBS! It was such fun week, glad and sad that it is over! After we left the church we had to meet the septic guy to sign some permit papers. Then the boys and I headed out to the land. On the way out there Cam asked "are they finished with the runway"? Ha! I guess he still had our Sky VBS theme on his brain! It was so cute! We didn't stay long at the land, it was just too darn hot and I didn't bring any cold water. I could tell that they had not done anything major. It did look like someone had been there but I could only find evidence of the electric company marking where the meter pole was going. So I am hoping that lots takes place next week since NOTHING took place this week! The septic guy said he would get it done asap, so that is good. We came home and crashed!
Thursday, June 14, 2012
Day 61 - Rv
Day four of VBS! Only two more days! Today Troye was off so he was able to see the vbs decorations at church and see the boys for a little bit. They wanted him to stay and go thru it all with them! Ha! After VBS one of their friends came home with us. So the boys played outside for a long time and then we went swimming. Let me tell you that swimming wears a kid out! LOL! We had supper and ice cream for dessert then watched a movie!

Day 60 - Rv
Day 3 of VBS! I can tell the boys are getting tired but they are not going to admit that! After vbs Troye had to work at Sams so the boys and I went to a friends house until Family Night. At family night we had hotdogs and they boys performed their songs. It was fun!

Day 59 - Rv
We had an early start to our day again. Vbs week means getting up and at 'em early! VBS starts at 9am but since I am working registration the boys and I get there by 8:15 or so. They had a blast again today! Cam is loving it this year. I know he enjoyed it last year but this year he is LOVING it! He comes home talking about what they did and what they learned! Colt is loving being with his friends. They also really enjoy the songs. We have a cd with the music and they ask to listen to it every day! After vbs today we went swimming with Gavin, Callum, Kaid and Aunt Steph! The boys were in the pool for over 2 hours! Needless to say they were tired!
Monday, June 11, 2012
Day 58 - Rv
VBS! The day is finally here! The boys and I were up early and ready for a fun crazy day at VBS! Both boys were super excited! I was ready to see how registration would go! We had all the name tags printed and ready to go. We just needed the mass of kids to arrive! And arrive they did! All in all I believe we checked in 389 kids! Everything went pretty smoothly and it was a good start to a wonderful week! The boys went over to Aunt Steph's house after vbs. They loved getting to play with their cousins!
Now to rest!
Now to rest!

Day 57 - Rv
Well today is the day before VBS. I have spent the last week getting the registration forms in order and ready for the name tags. Today we finish up last minute registrations and decorating registration area. An awesome team of ladies helped decorate and the area looks fabulous! I am super excited! The boys spent the day with Troye while I was up at the church. They went swimming and watched movies, a good guys day!
Saturday, June 9, 2012
Day 56 - Rv
Today we went blueberry picking! Of course we made the mistake of getting a late start and ended up out there during the hottest part of the day! But we were able to get 8 lbs of blueberries and probably a few pounds in our belly! We are going to make a blueberry cobbler and some freezer jam! After the picking we came back to the rv to rest and to work on VBS decorations.
Friday, June 8, 2012
Day 55 - Rv
We thought we had to go to the land again today to meet the septic guy. The boys were not excited about that at all! They wanted to stay home! But the septic guy has to get some permits so we postponed the meeting. I needed to run up to the church for VBS for a little while. The boys opted to go with me (they like playing up there!) After we finished Grandad came by and we ended up going to the movies to see Madagascar. The boys thought it was super funny. Cam always cracks me up when we watch a 3D movie. He constantly reaches out to touch the objects! So cute!

Day 54 - Rv
BUSY DAY! We started out early today! The boys and I headed to Trinity to get the last minute water papers filled out. We went by the house and took a look. It is completely set and ready for finishing touches and utilities! After we left there we drove to Livingston to fill out the electric company papers. Whew! The driving was exhausting! We then went by the church to get VBS forms so I could work on getting them ready for VBS next week. We headed to the Davis' house next. Karen and Karson were so kind to help out with the vbs forms! Once we finally got home the boys went to bed and I worked on the forms some more. I want to get as many done as possible so that we are ready for next week!
Wednesday, June 6, 2012
Day 53 - Rv
We worked on laundry this morning and then the boys and I went to work at the church. We worked on vbs stuff and the boys played in the children's area. They really enjoy playing up there, of course there are new toys and video games! I had a meeting for VBS so we just stayed until the meeting started. The boys wanted to stay for church so we did but during the middle I get a call from Troye. He had someone dropping him off at the rv after work and I had locked him out!!! Oh he was not too happy to be standing outside the rv in his hot uniform and bulletproof vest! I quickly gathered the boys and we headed home! Ooops!
Tuesday, June 5, 2012
Day 52 - Rv
Well we headed back out to the land today! We were all so tired from being out there all day yesterday but I really wanted to see the house move to its final position. When we got there they had one section back to the foundation and were working on the second section. It took a while to get it down the road and put into place. They then worked on taking it off the wheels and such. After that one was in place they moved the other one into place and joined them! It was pretty neat to see. We ended up leaving before they were completely done. It was just too hot and we were all exhausted!
Monday, June 4, 2012
Day 51 - Rv
Well we headed out to the land early so we could see the road work being done and then watch the house move. When we arrived they were working on the road. The contractor informed us that the moving crew had truck troubles and the house would not be moving today! Ugh!! But we hung out and watched the road being fixed and talked with the contractor. They were done in just a couple of hours and were about the head home. The tractor they rented was not scheduled to be picked up until the next morning so they told Troye to have fun! Troye was so excited! As soon as they left he jumped on the tractor and started driving! He quickly figured out how to work the bucket and started clearing the land! I took the boys to DQ for lunch so Troye could work. When we got back he let the boys each have a turn riding and driving the tactor! Fun Times!! We ended up staying until almost dark! We just couldn't pass up the opportunity to use the tractor for free (they are expensive to rent)!! I think Troye was on the tractor for almost 7 hours! But he was able to clear lots of the land! We were so excited and thankful that they let us use it!
Sunday, June 3, 2012
Day 50 - Rv
We went to church today. The boys love going and were excited since we missed last week. I love that they enjoy going to church so much! After Troye came home from work we took the boys swimming for a late dip in the pool! It was fun and wore the boys out!
Saturday, June 2, 2012
Day 49 - Rv
Today Grammy and Grumpy came to visit! The boys were so excited to see them! We hung out at the rv for awhile then headed to get lunch and take them to see the house and land. We stopped at DQ for some good ice cream too! The house is still in the temporary position but you can look in the windows and see some of the changes that have happened at the land. It was a fun day! Thanks for coming to visit Grammy and Grumpy!
Friday, June 1, 2012
Day 48 - Rv
I was hoping that today they would widen the road and move the house but scheduling conflicts did not let that happen. Monday is the day it is all scheduled to happen. Let's pray it does! Cam and I had some chill out time in the Rv then we headed to get Colt. He was so excited to go get his brother! He enjoyed playing for awhile when we picked Colt up.
